How we did it?
- Designed the system that helps the user enter complete container definition like size, type and capacity of the containers in term of weight, volume, pallets, cases. This helps the user to select the correct kind of container for each planned orders.
- The system also prioritizes planned order quantities depending on the need by date, The system also records all the item physical attributes, which is used when the containers are filled.
- Designed the system to show the exact percentage of the container that is filled for a particular supplier and it’s supplier site, this helps the user to add more planned order quantity to the containers so that the containers capacity can completely utilized.
- The system also has different kinds of validations that checks the physical attributes of the item and also suggests what type of container to use to fill.
