GEODIS, a well-known global logistics provider, opened its sixth strategic control tower in Bangalore for its Supply Chain Optimization Line of Business, which manages and advises supply chains. 365/7/24 multilingual visibility, performance monitoring, and supply chain process improvement will be provided by the Bangalore Center of Excellence (CoE).
The Bangalore Center of Excellence (CoE) opened on December 21 with 60 professionals in the supply chain. It joined centers in Mexico, the United States, France, Serbia, and China. GEODIS CoEs allow clients to make “live” decisions by centralizing the technology, procedures, and people used to collect data from the supply chain.
At the inaugural ceremony, GEODIS Supply Chain Optimization Executive Vice President Eric Gerbi noted, “GEODIS Centers of Excellence are meant to assist in establishing a culture of excellence in our clients’ supply chain management.” We do this by centralizing their business and increasing visibility. Our professionals optimize operations with customers. They boost resilience and decision-making by controlling the supply chain altogether. These outcomes are vital in today’s complicated global supply chain ecosystem.”
As an extension of clients’ supply chain organizations (international and domestic flows, warehousing, last-mile delivery, reverse logistics), Bangalore CoE will provide order, pick-up, delivery, exception, and freight bill audit services. In addition, the center of excellence uses GEODIS’s web-based visibility technology for end-to-end visibility, monitoring and improving performance, continuous improvement, and network optimization.
Bangalore was picked for its supply chain talent pool. India’s fifth-largest economy, rapid growth rate, and largest graduate population attracted investment.
